Former Carlton star Brendon Fevola has helped Deer Park secure a 46-point win over Hoppers Crossing in the Western Region Football League on Saturday, thanks to a 10 goal haul.

Fev kicked 10 of his side's 15 goals, as the home side scored scored 15.8 (98) to 7.0 (52).

Hoppers Crossing was right in the contest in the first half, trailing by just four points at the main break. However, the Lions piled on nine goals to two in the second half, thanks largely to Fevola.

Deer Park, last season's premiers, currently sit on top of the ladder after the opening two rounds.

The former Coleman Medalist has become a local footy gun for hire since retiring, attracting huge crowds and kicking huge bags of goals, as his John Farnham style farewell tour rolls on from suburb to suburb.

While playing in the Western Region Football League, Fev will also make several one off appearance, including one for Doveton in the South Eastern Netball Football League on Saturday May 28 at Robinson Reserve.
