North Melbourne just cannot seem to win the close ones.

The Kangaroos have now won just four of 19 matches decided by under six points under coach Brad Scott.

The Roos also seem very adapt at blowing a lead.

Already this season, they have done so on three occasions in the opening five rounds.

In round two against Geelong, North were leading by as much as 32 points, before losing by one-point.

Last week, they led the Western Bulldogs by 29 points at six-minute mark of the third quarter, before being overrun by three points. Brad Scott's men were once again up by as much as 29 points midway through the third term this evening against the Dockers.

during the round five AFL match between the Fremantle Dockers and the North Melbourne Kangaroos at Domain Stadium on April 22, 2017 in Perth, Australia.

Fremantle then surged home in the final few minutes, to record a five-point win, with former Geelong player, Shane Kersten kicking the winning goal with a minute left on the clock.

The reaction from footy fans on social media varied, from laughter from some, to anger, disappointment and sheer shock from Roos' fans.

But there was one overriding thought. Here we go again...the Roos have a fundamental problem and a mental issue with holding leads and winning close games.

Here's how the fans saw it:
