Brisbane coach Chris Fagan confirmed the club is keen to sign Joe Daniher in the free agency period.

Speaking after Brisbane's humbling 40-point loss to Geelong last night, Fagan revealed the Lions are keen to bolster their forward prospects with Daniher next season.

“We are obviously pretty keen to get Joe Daniher to our club,” Fagan confirmed post-game.

“We think he can help. We are already in the business of improving for next year, so we won‘t let the grass grow under our feet.”

A deal would likely see Essendon receive a late first-round compensation pick.

But the Bombers could match potential deal and force a trade to receive a higher pick.

Daniher has played 15 games and kicked 18 goals in the last three years.
