Geelong have announced the re-signings of experienced duo Rhys Stanley and Zac Tuohy.

Stanley has signed a one-year extension with the club and will add to his 144 AFL games.

The 29-year-old joined the Cats from St Kilda for the 2015 season and has played 86 games in the navy blue and white.

Tuohy has penned a new deal to remain at Kardinia Park until the end of the 2022 season.

The Irishman has played 85 games with Geelong since joining the club from Carlton, where he played a total of 140 games.

“Both Rhys and Zach have become key parts of our team over the years and we are pleased they will be continuing with us,” Geelong’s General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd said.

“We believe they will help us to continue to challenge for finals and a premiership. Both are great around the club and influential in the community. They are proud to be Geelong players.”
