West Cost will match any potential free agency bid for out of contract midfielder Scott Selwood.

Geelong is widely tipped to offer Selwood a place on its list to join brother Joel via free agency in the coming weeks.

However, West Coast will attempt to stifle those plans, as the club has indicated that it will match Geelong’s offer, potentially forcing Geelong to trade for the 25-year-old.

Selwood, who is yet to make a decision on his future, managed just 13 games this season due to hamstring injuries and is expected to be left out of Saturday’s Grand Final side.
