Whilst this weekend acts as a reprieve from the typical frenetic weekday trade dealings, Saturday still presented multiple pieces of notable exchange news.

Tyler Brockman found his way to his desired club, the Eagles, who were everywhere on Saturday.

In addition to completing an exchange for the Hawthorn livewire, West Coast dropped a statement slamming reports the Eagles were considering trading a trio of senior players.

We're four days out from the 2023 exchange period deadline, and there's plenty of business to sort before the end of this year's jam-packed window.

Here's all the latest trade news from another frantic day of the off-season.

Cashed-up Giant set to see out remainder of contract

Veteran Giant Nick Haynes is expected to see out the remainder of his GWS deal, despite recent speculation about his possible departure as part of a 'salary dump' deal.

The seasoned utility's current contract is back-loaded, according to reports, with the final year of Haynes' deal set to net him close to, if not seven figures.

However, while North Melbourne may have been considering a play -- in which they likely would've gained an extra draft pick from GWS -- for Haynes, the Giant's agent has reportedly ruled out the possibility of a 2023 farewell.

Ralphsmith, Mansell pen Tigerland extensions

Richmond utilities Rhyan Mansell and Hugo Ralphsmith have officially recommitted at Punt Road, each penning one-year deals to remain Tigers into 2024.

While some speculation has surrounded Ralphsmith's contract situation -- with the Bayside product being made to wait for a new deal -- the long-blonde-haired speedster will continue to don Richmond colours for at least another campaign.

Prolific VFL goalkicker could resurrect AFL career after delisting

Delisted Gold Coast Suns forward Brodie McLaughlin is reportedly being eyed by rival clubs as he hopes to continue his professional career next season.

Despite joining the fray in Carrara at the start of this year, McLaughlin was canned by the Suns at the conclusion of their VFL premiership campaign.

Two Victorian clubs were interested in signing the former Frankston Dolphin in February before he committed to playing for Gold Coast.

Eagles trash reports of trio's supposed trade availability

West Coast released an impassioned statement via X on Saturday afternoon, declaring trade reports and rumours about Jack Darling, Elliot Yeo, and Liam Duggan were "unfounded and untrue".

It came after a report surfaced from The West Australian on Friday evening claiming the Eagles had put Darling on the trade table in hopes of netting a substantial draft-pick-centred package from North Melbourne for this year's No. 1 overall pick.

West Coast officially secures trade deal for Hawthorn livewire

Western Australian small forward Tyler Brockman is officially an Eagles after AFL House approved trade paperwork lodged by Hawthorn and West Coast on Saturday afternoon.

After the Hawks reportedly knocked back the Eagles' contending offer of Pick 44, West Coast was thought to have countered by adding the No. 63 selection to the equation, which satisfied Hawthorn enough to strike an agreement on an exchange.
