Yarran is an absolute star when he is in form. However, he fails to produce his best on a regular basis, with the gap between his best and his worst far too wide, prompting Dunstall to question Yarran’s value to the Blues.
“You get someone like Chris Yarran, he’s experienced, he’s mature. (But) if he’s going to have those ups and downs with form and discipline and we saw Johnny Barker talking to him in the rooms, he didn’t look interested after the fist five or ten seconds, then maybe there’s a decision to be made for Chris Yarran and the Carlton Football Club,” Dunstall said on Fox Footy’s On the Couch.
“If they can’t get consistency out of him, they both would benefit from a change.”
