Collingwood ruckman Jarrod Witts has joined the Gold Coast Suns.

Witts has been traded to the Suns in exchange for picks No.44 and No.62.

The 24-year-old played 40 games foe the Magpies in five seasons witht he club.

“We are delighted to have finalised a trade that will see Jarrod join the Suns,” Gold Coast General Manager of Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft, said.

“Jarrod was keen to join the Suns and his relationship with Rocket was part of the reason behind him selecting us as his desired destination.

“We believe Jarrod’s has development in him and his addition will generate strong competition for the ruck role in 2017 and beyond.”

He was selected with pick No.67 in the 2011 National Draft.
