Collingwood gun Jordan De Goey has stated he is hopeful of securing his future at the AIA Centre past the end of this season.

The Magpies' restricted free agent is the biggest name remaining on Collingwood's list of unsigned stars, with his future yet to be decided as the club looks to secure key players for the future.

Star defender Darcy Moore inked a new five-year deal earlier this season, with the Magpies having locked away eight signatures across the first half of this year.

De Goey now firms as the club's big retention, having seen his value further ascend in his eighth season in black and white.

The 26-year-old is likely to gain interest from rival clubs the longer he remains yet to recommit, with St Kilda having already been linked to the midfield-forward hybrid.

While more clubs are likely to arise in the race for De Goey's services, the Ashburton product remains keen to work out a new deal with Collingwood.

“I want to work with Collingwood and get something sorted out,” De Goey said at a recent event in Ringwood, via The Age.

“I am happy where I am. There is always stuff you have to work out with the club. It’s a process over time, obviously.

"It doesn’t have to happen overnight.”

De Goey is one of just six restricted free agents in 2022, a category that has bid farewell to Hawk James Sicily and Bomber Kyle Langford in recent weeks.

Lion Darcy Gardiner, Swan Lance Franklin, Docker Alex Pearce, Demon Angus Brayshaw and Tiger Kane Lambert are also among free agents under a restricted band this year.

De Goey has played 128 games for the Magpies since making his debut in 2015 and is averaging 21.5 disposals and 1.1 goals per game across 10 appearances this season.
