Crows lock in young star

Adelaide secure the signature of in-form defender.

Adelaide defender Rory Laird has re-signed with the club until the end of 2018.

The three-year deal is the third Adelaide re-signing in the last two weeks, with Richard Douglas and Rory Sloane signing new deals last week.

The 21-year-old has been in career best form averaging 23 disposals a game this season.

Laird said he had no hesitation in signing a new deal with the Crows.

“Signing on was an easy decision because I am really excited by the journey we have embarked upon,” Laird said.

“There is no doubt we have the talent and we must now do the hard work to make sure we get where we want to go.

“We are fortunate to be at a club where we have every opportunity to get the best out of ourselves and there is a lot to like about the team-first environment.”
