Free agent Crow Rory Atkins is set to leave the club for the Gold Coast Suns, per The Age's Sam McClure.

It is understood that Atkins has been offered a long-term deal with the Gold Coast Suns for four years with a trigger for a fifth season, with the deal worth $400,000 per season.

Suns coach Stuart Dew is likely to use him on the wing to help with run and carry off the half-back line.

Adelaide will be compensated and is set to receive a third-round draft pick as Atkins is an unrestricted free agent.

The departure comes as Atkins has reportedly fallen out of favour with the Crows and coach Matthew Nicks.

The midfielder only managed four games this season after suffering a shoulder injury in Round 3. He returned in Round 9 only to be dropped a week later.

Atkins has played 101 games for the Crows and featured in the club's grand final loss in 2017.
