Craig Black has departed his role as senior coach of Collingwood's VFL side, set to take on a new position within AFL Victoria's NAB League program.

Black signed on as senior coach in 2018, leading the Magpies for three seasons, including a 2022 campaign which saw the club finish in 6th and make finals.

Collingwood General Manager of Football, Graham Wright, thanked Black for his time at the club.

“Craig has added great value to our football program over the past four years,” Wright said.

“Even through a VFL season hiatus due to the pandemic in 2020, Craig was instrumental in making sure the group remained connected and engaged.

“His dedication and care towards all at Collingwood is to be commended and we appreciate and thank him for his commitment to the Club.

“We wish Craig and his family all the best with his new role and future endeavours.”
