Should the Eagles consider trading Josh Kennedy?

Kane Cornes has suggested West Coast explore the market for the veteran forward given he is in the twilight of his career.

Speaking on Footy SA & WA, the former Port Adelaide star floated Collingwood as a potential suitor.

“He turns 33 in August this year and is out of contract," Cornes said on Footy SA & WA.

“Is there a club – say a Collingwood in the competition – that may come and offer him a two-year deal.

“Collingwood need a forward, particularly if Jordan De Goey leaves and he’s ageing. West Coast could trade him now and (Kennedy) gets some security.”

Cornes believes now could be the opportune time to deal the dual Coleman medallist to get good value in return.

“I’ve got so much respect for him," he said.

“Because he’s done a pre-season and had this break, I think that will serve him well. I think he’s got two good years left in home and at a stretch three.

“But I reckon they’ll be a club that would be willing to take a risk on him and that could be a Collingwood, a club who are in the (premiership) window and are looking for a big power forward.
