Collingwood star Adam Treloar has suffered a hamstring injury in his side's win over Richmond in Sunday's Marsh Community Series clash in Wangaratta.

The gun midfielder racked up a game-high 34 disposals but pulled up sore stretching his hamstring in a marking contest halfway through the fourth quarter and didn't return.

Speaking to reports post-match, Pies coach Nathan Buckley confirmed Treloar "nicked" his hamstring.

"I think it's a little nick," Buckley said.

"Late in the game he overstretched going to a low one, so we think there's probably going to be a little bit of a disruption there."

It puts Treloar in doubt for Collingwood's round one clash against the Bulldogs, with Buckley staying ambiguous about the onballer's availability.

"Don't know. We'll find out when we get there," he said.

Treloar suffered a rare double-hamstring injury late in the 2018 season which required surgery, sidelining him for over two months.
