Collingwood president Eddie McGuire is set to remain in his post for another three years.

According to The Age's Jake Niall, McGuire will nominate to extend his tenure, which would tie his reign to 24 years.

If McGuire serves another term, it would make him the third-longest running president in VFL/AFL history, having been appointed in 1998.

Collingwood vice-president and leading corporate liquidator Mark Korda will also nominate to stand again.

Nominations for the Collingwood board close on Wednesday and there have currently been no other candidates other than McGuire and Korda.

McGuire told The Age he intended to serve another full three-year term.

"I'm not thinking of anything else, no," the 55-year old said.

If he does serve another three-year term, he would trail only Harry Curtis as the longest-running Collingwood president, who served for 27 years from 1924-1950.
