Before the season began, we wrote an article detailing the average age of your club's entire list, and ranked them across the league.

Find out your side’s average age and games played ahead of the 2017 season

Hawthorn and West Coast both had the two oldest lists across the competition, and it shows once again, as this time we've complied the average age of players every club has used in 2017.

The league average in 2017 is 24.8, although the Eagles stand alone as the league's oldest team, averaging a side almost one year older than the next highest side.

Essendon have put out a side in 2017 with an average age of 25.8, while the Hawks haven't strayed too far from the pre-season numbers with an average of 25.7.

When it comes to the average age of your club, it's always the age of the teams that are at the bottom that are the most interesting, and this time around it's no exception.

While Brisbane, Gold Coast, North Melbourne and Carlton are all naturally down the bottom given they're all rebuilding in 2017, two Victorian clubs and their fans would be pretty happy with their positions.

Only two clubs in the competition are younger than Melbourne and Richmond, who both have an average age of 24.4.

With the Tigers are currently a game clear inside the top four and the Demons are hitting their straps and just a game away from Richmond, both sets of fans would be excited with what the future holds for these young teams.

The Tigers are also the only side in the competition not to have played a player over the age of 30 so far this season.

At the other end of the scale, West Coast are the only side who haven't blooded a player under the age of 20, and have had five over 30s feature this year.

Interestingly, when comparing GWS' 2017 playing list to Gold Coast's, the Suns have played 10 players under 20 years of age compared to the Giants' three, despite being in the competition for a year longer.
