The Herald Sun reports Geelong forward Gary Rohan has split from wife Amie.

Ms Rohan took to social media this week to encourage people to "be strong" and not "let the actions of another to convince you that you are not good enough".

The pair have two daughters - seven-month-old Sadie Rose and two-year-old Bella.

In 2018, their daughter Willow, a twin to Bella died from a rare birth condition.

Rumours circulated that Geelong players and families were not impressed by Rohen's relationship with a Cats' staffer in the Gold Coast hub.

Teammate Tom Hawkins was said to be less-than-impressed by the "relationship" and confronted Rohan in a heated exchange.

Rohan was part of Geelong's Grand Final team and collected five disposals in the game.
