Carlton have suffered an injury blow, with the Blues’ second pick and No.10 pick overall in the 2015 National Draft, Harry McKay, ruled out for three months due to a stress fracture in his back.

McKay experienced soreness in his lower back during training on Saturday, with scans on Monday confirming the stress fractures.

The 18-year-old key position prospect will not require surgery.

  1. These young kids bodies are not ready for AFL. Recruiting a tall 18 year old is high risk as their bodies do take longer to handle the extra stresses of AFL training. We will not see him play senior footy for 2 years.

    • Damn, gotta go easy with these young blokes, never good seeing them go down like this….at any club. He will bounce back, bigger and better mate……ready to take eon those pies!!
