No.12 draft pick Charlie Curnow is out indefinitely after being diagnosed with glandular fever.

Curnow has returned home to recover from the illness in Bellbrae, just south of Geelong in Victoria.

The 19-year-old has played four games since making his debut in Round 2.

Meanwhile, No.1 draft pick Jacob Weitering is likely to miss Round 7, after injuring his shoulder in the Blues' win over Essendon on Sunday.

Carlton is awaiting the result of scans on the youngsters shoulder.
