Welcome to the Day 6 AFL Trade and Free Agency rolling blog, which will see the end to the free agency window.
Here we'll have all the updates and done deals from day five of the player movement window.
Eagle turns Blue
West Coast youngster Campbell Chesser has been traded to Carlton in exchange for Pick 41.
Chesser expressed his desire to head back to Victoria, with the Blues his preferred destination.
Chesser, who hails from Melbourne and played for the Sandringham Dragons in his draft year, joined the Eagles through the 2021 National Draft with Pick 14.
The trade grants the Eagles another selection in this year's National Draft, which currently stands as Pick 1, 2, 13, 34, 38, 41, 53 and 58.
Carlton set to secure trade for Suns forward
Gold Coast forward Ben Ainsworth is expected to secure a trade to Carlton ahead of Wednesday's deadline.
Ainsworth has been told by the Suns he is welcome to assess his options on the open market, with the Queensland club having a bevy of attacking options on their list while they also move for Melbourne's Christian Petracca.
Carlton had made first contact with Ainsworth in the wake of the Suns' decision, while Essendon have also been reported as a keen suitor.
According to afl.com.au, Ainsworth will be traded to the Blues. Carlton hold Picks 10, 22, 41, 54 and 72 for next month's draft, and can use 2026 and 2027 selections in a deal.
Ainsworth, who turned down rival interest last year to recommit to the Suns, has played 158 games for Gold Coast, booting 137 goals.
Collingwood forward becomes a Demon
Melbourne have finalised a trade with Collingwood that will see premiership Magpie Brody Mihocek join the Demons.
While eligible for free agency, Mihocek has been traded to Melbourne, given the Demons don't want to dilute the compensation they received for Charlie Spargo's departure to North Melbourne via the same mechanism.
The trade agreement has seen the Magpies receive Pick 61 and a 2026 third-round selection as part of the deal.
Collingwood, who bid farewell to a five-time leading goalkicker, have also parted with Pick 71 as part of the exchange.
Trade approved.
Collingwood have traded Brody Mihocek and 2025 Round Four pick 71 to Melbourne for 2025 Round Three pick 61 and a 2026 Round Three selection (tied to Melbourne) in the respective Telstra AFL Drafts.

Mihocek's switch to Melbourne will see him join departed Saints tall Max Heath in landing at the Demons under new coach Steven King.
