Carlton will challenge the Match Review Officer's ban on star midfielder Zac Williams, who was handed a one-game suspension following a hit on St Kilda's Hunter Clark.
MRO Michael Christian graded the incident as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, with the Blues now putting in a $10,000 challenge against the verdict.
Should Carlton be successful, Williams will be available for selection in the club's Round 1 clash against Richmond next week.
