Carlton have confirmed that Matthew Kennedy won't feature again for the remainder of the season after suffering a Lisfranc injury to his foot.
The 25-year-old has managed 17 games in 2022, averaging 24.5 disposals, 4.1 tackles and 4.6 clearances per match.
The former Giant has become an instrumental part of Carlton's engine room as the club tries to win their way through to their first finals series of 2013, now forced to do it without Kennedy.
The club has confirmed that the midfielder will undergo further assessment in the coming days before deciding on a course of action.
Kennedy joins Oscar McDonald, Luke Parks and Sam Philp in being ruled out for the season due to their relative ailments.

Adam Cerra, who was a late out for Saturday night's loss to Melbourne, will be assessed throughout the week.
Carlton have to win against Collingwood next weekend to secure their spot in finals. Should the Blues lose on Sunday afternoon, they will have to rely on the Western Bulldogs also falling in their match against Hawthorn in Tasmania.
