Carlton are not interested in signing Collingwood star Jordan De Goey despite widespread speculation, reports SEN's Sam Edmund.

The out-of-contract forward has been linked to a move to Ikon Park ahead of the upcoming trade period as contract talks with the Pies stall amid the club's tight salary cap situation.

However, Edmund has quashed such reports, declaring that "well-placed sources have confirmed that the Blues don’t have an interest" in the 24-year old.

After splitting with his manager earlier this year, De Goey is currently being represented by his father Roger but is believed to be on the cusp of signing with a new agent.

He averaged 13.5 disposals from 10 games in 2020 and booted 14 goals.

The Pies are also trying to lock down on out-of-contract trio Darcy Moore, Brody Mihocek and Josh Daicos, with the latter reportedly close to signing a new deal.
