After two strong performances in the NEAFL, Goodes returns to the side along with Tom Mitchell and Dean Towers.

Goodes kicked three goals in the Swans reserves side against GWS reserves in round three, before putting in another strong performance last weekend.

Coach John Longmire said that Goodes had done enough to earn a recall.

“He’s played the last couple of weeks in our reserves team due to a combination of minutes required and form and he’s been working on those two things over the last couple of weeks,” Longmire said.

“He feels as though he’s feeling good enough to come back into the senior team this week and we think he’s got a role to play for us in our senior team. We are looking forward to him having a good game.”

The trio come into the team for Ben McGlynn, Harry Cunningham (both omitted) and young gun Isaac Heeney (ankle).
