Caleb Serong has recommitted to Fremantle, inking a new four-year deal with the club until at least the end of the 2027 season.

The 21-year-old played 22 games in the 2022 season, averaging 26.4 disposals and 5.5 clearances per match, adding yet another impressive season to his resume since his debut in 2020.

Serong was drafted by the Dockers in the 2019 AFL National Draft with pick no.8, going on to win the Rising Star Award in his maiden campaign.

Speaking to club media, Serong said he was "stoked" to be staying in purple.

“I'm just stoked to be a part of the Dockers. I absolutely love where the Club's heading at the moment and I really want to be a part of it,” Serong said.

“I wasn't looking to go anywhere, my partner Chloe and I, we were always really keen to go again and we're really lucky to extend for another four years, which is great.”

Fremantle finished the 2022 season in fifth position, defeated by Collingwood by 20 points in the semi-finals to end their year, but Serong believes that there is no limit to what the Dockers can achieve.

“We spoke going into the year that we had heard enough about our potential, and we really wanted to perform,” Serong said.

“We made finals for the first time in a few years, so that was really exciting. The next step is to go deeper into finals and we want to win the Club's first premiership.

“There's no limit on what we can achieve.”
