Joe Daniher lit up the AFL in his long-awaited return last week, booting three goals in a match-winning perforce against the Hawks.

While the Bombers were ecstatic to welcome their prized forward back to the AFL, questions did remain around his future.

Speaking on the Sunday Footy Show, former Bulldog and Tiger Nathan Brown said Collingwood should push hard for the 26-year-old in the upcoming off-season

"The Bombers might wrap him up, but if there is a club to send a big deal Daniher's way, it should be Collingwood," Brown said.

"If I'm looking at Joe Daniher and the way he played the other night, if I'm Collingwood and I've been screaming out for a forward.. i think its a great fit.

"He wanted to to go Sydney last year, didn't get there.

While there will be several keen clubs looking for a key forward, fellow Footy Show host Tony Jones said the Lions could be the best suitor for Daniher.

"I tell you who should be chasing him? Brisbane," Jones said. "Brisbane are screaming out for a forward"

While Brown was aligned to a connection between the Magpies and Daniher, Damian Barrett added that the Magpies have contract worries of their own.

"They've got to re-contract Darcy Moore first," Barrett said. "And De Goey."

Essendon are considered favourites to hold onto Daniher in 2021, but Sydney set to reignite their charge for the Bombers spearhead.
