Robbery charges against North Melbourne player Trent Dumont and his co-accused have been dropped.

Dumont was accused of stealing $70 from a taxi driver, along with friend Joshua David Lomas, in Adelaide in October 2014.

Taxi driver Malusi Hamilton Ketse had alleged that Dumont and Lomas pinned him to the ground and stole $70 after he drove them to their requested destination.

The pair both pleaded not guilty to one count each of aggravated robbery.

However, following two days of trial, the charges against the pair have been dropped.

Dumont, 21, has played 20 career games with the Kangaroos.
