Richmond has reportedly offered banned Bomber Michael Hurley $4.5 million over five seasons, according to SEN Radio's Daniel Harford.

Harford said on Monday that the 25-year-old key position player is still yet to decide where he will play his footy in 2017.

"Well I heard Mark Robinson and Andy Maher talking today about the Bombers' dozen and the players that have re-committed to the footy club," Harford said on SEN.

"But I did hear Robbo talking about Michael Hurley and the fact that he might be 50/50 - that's interesting because not too long before that I had received some correspondence from a gentleman who would know things in football who has told me that Richmond have made a $900,000 for five (years) to Michael Hurley."

Earlier on Monday, Herald Sun journalist mark Robinson told SEN that he believes Hurley is still 50-50 to return to the Bombers next season.

“For the first time ever someone tweeted me on the weekend, who I trust, said to me Hurley is 50/50,” Robinson said.

“For some people (it would be a football miracle if they all came back), not for me.

“When it first happened I thought God what is going to happen here, and I think Essendon felt that as well but probably about two months ago talking to people at Essendon they said they’re alright.

“No one has said we’re leaving – they believed a lot of the player managers used the ‘you stuffed my career clause I’m getting out of here’ just to get more money.”
