Carlton veteran Andrew Walker will be sidelined for "a few weeks" with a knee injury.

Walker has battled persistent knee problems during the past two seasons, with the injury flaring up again this week.

"It's been a little bit sore. Also tightened up through the rest of his body," coach Brendon Bolton said on Friday.

"It will probably be a few weeks out (for Walker)."

The injury saw Walker undergo three operations in a seven month period.

He only managed 14 games in 2014, 12 in 2015 and has played 10 this season.

Meanwhile, midfielder Dale Thomas will also miss around two weeks with a calf injury.

"(It will) be a couple of weeks (for Thomas). We'll just wait and see," Bolton said.
