Tigers veteran Bachar Houli has signed on with the club for next season.

The 31-year-old is enjoying a career-best campaign, averaging 27.7 disposals, 4.8 rebound-50’s, 4.3 score involvements and 491.6 metres gained, earning All Australian honours for the first time.

Tigers list manager Blair Hartley was pleased to see the reliable defender put pen to paper.

“Bachar is an outstanding person and player, and we love having him at our football club,” Hartley told the club website.

“He’s having an exceptional season, and we’re looking forward to him continuing to have an impact next year both on and off the field.”

The 2017 premiership star's Bachar Houli Foundation continues to be a success in helping Islamic youth through football and leadership programs.

Houli was proud of his efforts both on an and off the field.

“I’m very happy to continue my football career at Richmond, and to launch the Foundation that will support Islamic youth to develop their leadership and cultural connection,” he said.

“I’m really proud of the work we’ve achieved so far with all of our programs, and I’m incredibly excited to take our work to the next level with the establishment of the Foundation with the Richmond Football Club.”
