Despite, year long speculation surrounding James Aish, the youngster now looks set to remain at Brisbane.

The Herald Sun has reported that Aish will this week return from a holiday in Bali and will sign a contract extension with the Lions.

Aish rejected a contract offer from the club earlier in the season, amid speculation he would seek a trade.

It is understood he wanted to join Collingwood, however, the Pies’ desire to recruit Adam Treloar from GWS has meant that Aish is now not a high priority for Collingwood.
