The AFL have announced the final teams for this year's AFLW state of origin match between Victoria and the Allies at Etihad Stadium on September 2.

The match will take place during the pre-finals bye in the AFL, with an all-star cast leading the players selected.

All-Australian captain Daisy Pearce will lead the Victorian outfit, although Carlton forward Darcy Vescio has withdrawn from the original squad due to injury.

League best and fairest winner Erin Philips is also unavailable due to her WNBA commitments, meaning Brisbane star Sabrina Frederick-Traub headlines a strong Allies side.

Women's football legend and Melbourne's AFLW football operations manager Debbie Lee with coach the Victorians, while Adelaide premiership coach Bec Goddard will lead the Allies in the big match.

"Coaching in South Australia, I understand how passionate South Australians are about their footy and nothing burns deeper than a fierce contest against Victoria," Goddard told afl.com.au last month.

The AFL have also confirmed 'Supergoals' will be in play during the match, with goals outside 40m worth nine points.
