Gun Bomber Orazio Fantasia has nominated Port Adelaide as his preferred trade destination, reports Nine News Adelaide.

The Power will reportedly meet with the 25-year old in the coming weeks as he looks to return home to South Australia.

It is understood that Fantasia's relationship with former Norwood coach Nathan Bassett played a key factor in his decision.

The exciting forward is contracted to the Bombers until the end of the 2021 season.

Fantasia is set to be the third player to walk out on the Bombers this off-season, with Adam Saad declaring his desire to be traded to Carlton and Joe Daniher to sign with Brisbane as a free agent.

Speaking to SEN Breakfast on Monday, Port Adelaide GM of Football Chris Davies discussed the club's interest of Fantasia.

“I’ve used the line over time, I’ve never actually spoken to Orazio Fantasia,” Davies said.

“I reckon I will before he expresses an interest to come to Port Adelaide.

“Whilst Orazio’s still an Essendon player, I think I’ll respect that enough to say that the minute he suggests to us, and more importantly suggests to Essendon, that he doesn’t want to play there, we’ll have an interest then.

“Until then, we’ll keep our powder dry.”
