Western Bulldogs midfielder Patrick Lipinski could be set to leave the kennel in pursuit of greater opportunities at AFL level.
Lipinski has been linked with a possible move from the Dogs all season with the young midfielder struggling to force his way into the Bulldogs elite midfield group.
The Herald Sun has reported that "a move to another club appears to be on the cards" for Lipinski who could be tempted by the promise of genuine midfield minutes at another club.
He is catching a lot of eyes at VFL level with another brilliant display on the weekend. Lipinski collected 35 disposals and a clutch goal to help Footscray secure a come from behind win.
He has been linked with a number of clubs including Carlton, and North Melbourne. There have been whispers that the Swans may be interested.
Carlton are desperate to bolster their midfield especially now given that Zac Wiliiams has returned to half-back. Both Carlton and North Melbourne would be happy to trade for Lipinski who is out of contract at the end of the season.
North Melbourne would love to bring in a ready-made midfielder to help ease the load on Ben Cunnington and guide their current crop of young talented midfielders.
The fact that while Adam Treloar and Josh Dunkley have both been out of the side, Lipinski hasn't managed to find a regular spot might just show how low down the pecking order he is at the Dogs.
It was reported by SEN reporter Sam Edmund last month that rivals are "offering more opportunity" should the lifelong Bulldogs fan want to seek pastures new.

At that time Edmund said the Bulldogs hadn't shown any interest in letting the talented ball-winner leave the club. There is no indication their stance has changed.
