Gold Coast has asked the AFL for help as it investigates explosive claims by former Suns player Karmichael Hunt.
AFL football operations manager Mark Evans confirmed that the league will be involved in the questioning of Gold Coast Suns players during the club’s investigation following Hunt’s claims that several Suns players used cocaine.
Suns chief executive Andrew Travis contacted Evans on Monday, asking the AFL to be involved in the process.
Evans said that the investigation would remain confidential.
“If any information comes up around drug use, it will be treated under the illicit drug policy,” Evans said.
