The AFL will meet with the Match Review Panel today to discuss changes to the controversial sling tackle rule.
Member of the MRP and former St. Kilda champion, Nathan Burke, said that the two parties are set to meet on Monday with the League to look closely at the interpretation of the rule.
“We are going to sit down with Mark Evans tomorrow to discuss that and we will get a game plan emanating from that,” he said.
“The AFL has looked very closely at the guidelines of what is an illegal tackle and what isn’t because at the moment they are not very clear.
“It is difficult to satisfy everyone. Sometimes accidents happen in football and we can’t legislate for every single occurrence.”
