The Official AFL Player Ratings is the League's number one rating system, and uses the most "sophisticated algorithm" to determine player ratings.
All season long, the Player Ratings have revealed a rolling Team of the Year each week, and following the announcement of the All-Australian 40-man squad on Monday, the Player Ratings' Team of the Year has been released.
14 players from the AA squad have been named, with eight players earning spots in the Player Ratings' Team of the Year but not the AA squad.
Two of those come from GWS, with defender Zac Williams and forward Jeremy Cameron both named in the Team of the Year.
St Kilda's Jack Sinclair, Gold Coast's Aaron Hall, Melbourne's Christian Petracca, Brisbane's Daniel Rich, Collingwood's Scott Pendlebury and Fremantle's Nat Fyfe were the other six players selected in just this side.
Adelaide, who had eight players named in the AA's squad of 40, have just two representatives in the Team of the Year, with Eddie Betts and Rory Sloane two of their best this season.
As well as the above 22, the Official AFL Player Ratings have announced a seconds team, which showcases the next best side across the competition.
This time around the Crows have four players in the side, while Port Adelaide, Melbourne and GWS all have three.
