The AFL have confirmed a mega Sunday of action following two postponed games on Saturday.

With Queensland going into lockdown on Saturday afternoon at 4pm, the AFL were forced to postpone the impacted games which were due to be played in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast Suns, who were originally supposed to host their clash with the Melbourne Demons at Metricon Stadium from 3:10pm on Sunday, will now play at Marve Stadium, with the bounce brought forward to 12:10pm.

Essendon and Sydney, who were scheduled to play on Saturday evening at the Gabba, will now take to the Melbourne Cricket Ground from 3:10pm on Sunday.

The other impacted game was set to see the Greater Western Sydney Giants play the Port Adelaide Power on the Gold Coast tomorrow, however, that game has now also been shifted to Marvel Stadium, with it to form a double-header and played in the later time slow at 6:10pm.

The Hawthorn Hawks-Brisbane Lions fixture, as well as the Fremantle Dockers-Richomd Tigers match, will remain as scheduled, in Launceston and Perth respectively.

It means footy fans will get heavily overlapping fixtures on Sunday, with the matches to start at 12:10pm, 2:10pm, 3:10pm, 5:10pm and 6:10pm AEST, the 5:10pm game being played in Perth at 3:10pm local time.

The AFL have flown the Suns, Giants, Swans and Bombers out of Queensland to Victoria on charter flights this afternoon, with Essendon having already travelled ahead of their originally scheduled clash before the lockdown was announced. They didn't exit the plane in Brisbane.
