According to the fans, St Kilda have been the game’s most disappointing side in 2018, following a survey completed by over 48,000 fans on

The survey ranged from a number of topics including the teams closest to a premiership, all the way down to which clubs do you love to beat.

27% of fans surveyed said the Saints’ start to the year has been the most disappointing, given Alan Richardson’s side only has one win and one draw to their name.

Essendon aren’t far behind with 24% of fans suggesting no team has been more disappointing then the Bombers, while Carlton (18%) and GWS (16%) are next in line.

At the other end of the scale, North Melbourne have been labelled as the most surprising movers up the table, with 47% of fans voting for Brad Scott’s men.

34% of fans believe the Eagles’ improvement has been the most surprising, while no other club received over 10% of the votes.

West Coast have looked that good this season, they are equal favourites to win the premiership, according to those fans surveyed.

31% of supporters predicted the Eagles would win the 2018 flag, while 31% also believe the Tigers will go back-to-back.

Both sides currently occupy the top two positions, with fans suggesting the two sides will face off on the final day of the season.

Sydney (11%) and Adelaide (10%) are the only other clubs to have over 10% of the votes.

Tigers fans seem the most confident in their side’s premiership credentials, with 99% of Richmond fans surveyed suggesting they are a realistic chance of winning the flag this season.

West Coast are a close second with 98%, while Sydney (95%) and Adelaide (93%) fans are also quite bullish about their side’s chances.

Despite strong starts to the season, Collingwood fans (44%) and North Melbourne supporters (41%) aren’t quite convinced they have what it takes just yet.

84% of fans across the league believe their club is a realistic chance of winning a premiership in the next three years.

Finally, fans were asked to select which club they love to beat the most, with supporters relishing in victories over Collingwood the most.

20% of supporters love to beat Collingwood more than any other side, while Hawthorn (14%), Geelong (9%) and Essendon (9%) were also high on that list.
