The AFL have announced 12 new inductees to the competition's Life Members list for 2021, with current players Tom Hawkins, Jack Riewoldt, Travis Boak and Marc Murphy headlining the latest group of winners for the award, per afl.com.au.

The AFL Commission confirmed at the end of last year that the dozen individuals would be inducted at the 2021 Annual General Meeting in March.

Nine players and coaches automatically earned Life Membership after reaching 300 AFL matches during 2020, while three 'Special Service to the Game' inductees have been named.

Richmond club director Emmett Dunne, long-time Carlton staff member Shane O'Sullivan and AFL boundary umpire coach Darren Wilson all earned a Life Membership for 2021.

Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley also earned a Life Membership, as did Eagles veteran Shannon Hurn and recently retired Geelong and Port Adelaide veterans Harry Taylor and Justin Westhoff.

Former Brisbane, Adelaide and St Kilda player Matthew Clarke joins the 2021 inductees with 258 premiership games, 25 preseason matches and coaching the Adelaide Crows AFLW side for 15 games.
