The initial 42-player squad for the 2023 AFLW All-Australian team has been unveiled, with minor premiers Adelaide making up one-seventh of the total players selected.

The Crows have seen six players named in the squad, with Chelsea Biddell, Caitlin Gould, Anne Hatchard, Niamh Kelly, Ebony Marinoff and Danielle Ponter all recognised for their efforts in Adelaide's nine-win campaign.

Marinoff's selection will see the Crows midfielder in the running for a sixth All-Australian selection of her career, while Hatchard could level her with a fifth selection.

North Melbourne veteran Emma Kearney has a chance to make it eight from eight after earning another selection in the All-Australian squad.

The Kangaroos have four players selected to sit level with Brisbane and Melbourne behind only Adelaide.

All 18 clubs are represented in the squad of 42.

More than half of the selected squad are yet to earn their maiden All-Australian selection, with a total of 23 players chasing their first AA honours.

The final 21-player team will be named on Monday, November 27 at the W Awards.
