Brownlow Medalist Adam Cooney says Port Adelaide may be the only side capable of knocking off the Tigers in the finals.

Following the Power's impressive 36-point win over the Saints at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, Cooney thinks Port could take it up to Richmond if they can reproduce their best form at the MCG.

“They’re continuing their charge. Port Adelaide look just about the only team who could challenge Richmond,” Cooney told the AFL Nation pregame show.

“Unfortunately, it looks like they’ll play at the MCG if they run into each other in the finals.

“I think Port are building into something pretty special.”

Cooney praised "the way Port Adelaide play the game."

“I like the way they play their game, they’re fierce at the contest, they’re not afraid to kick long to Charlie Dixon and their small forwards go to work,” he said.

“They were clinical yesterday.”

The Power currently sit second on the ladder and come up against the Dockers next Sunday at Adelaide Oval.
