Ablett ready to go

Gary Ablett looks ready to take on Carlton on Sunday after completing a tough training session earlier today.

Ablett completed a series of grueling strength tests with assistant coach Dean Solomon after training for more than two hours with teammates.

He appeared to train pain free and moved well, with all indicators pointing to a return this weekend.

However, such has been the hypersensitivity and caution around Gary Ablett, that no one at the Suns can say with absolute certainty that he will in fact play this week. But if he doesn’t, he will surely play the following week against North Melbourne.

The Gold Coast captain has been cleared to play by club doctors, with the decision now ultimately up to him if he feels right to line up on Sunday.

It has been a long and difficult season for Rodney Eade and the Gold Coast Suns, and the club and his teammates would dearly love to see Ablett back out there.
