Ablett likely to miss Crows clash

Gold Coast star Gary Ablett is expected to miss this week’s clash with Adelaide due to concussion.

The onballer suffered a concussion late in the game against the Giants on the weekend after a head knock in a tackle.

Suns forwards coach Ashley Prescott said the club won’t take any risks with their already battered skipper.

“Gary will want to play, but these things are looked after by the medicos…there’s protocols put in place, which there has to be around concussions and that’s really important,” he said.

“So there’s a few hurdles to be jumped for Gary and look if he passes them he passes them and if he doesn’t he doesn’t, but again it’s all about the individual and obviously we won’t take any risks.”
