One shining light in the Kangaroos’ forgettable season was Luke McDonald, with the defender being rewarded for this efforts by winning the Syd Barker Medal for 2020.

McDonald transformed into an accountable and clean footballer this season after bouncing back from an ankle injury that riddled his 2019 campaign.

On top of the best and fairest honours, McDonald claimed three other awards to cap off a stellar season in the blue and white.
