New Collingwood recruit Daniel Wells left the track early during the Pies' training session on Friday morning, amid reports the 31-year-old had suffered a calf injury.

The Herald Sun reports Wells performed only light drills away from the main group, before heading inside into the Holden Centre while his new teammates continued training.

However, the club rubbished suggestions Wells had suffered a calf injury, insisting the former Roo was fully fit. He is instead on a modified training program compared to the rest of the team, according to the Herald Sun, with Friday simply not one of his planned training days.
