VIDEO: Sloane could face ban for high hit

Rory Sloane’s Brownlow Medal hopes are in jeopardy, after the Crows’ onballer collected Port Adelaide’s Brad Ebert high with a late spoil in third term of Adelaide’s win over the Power last night.

The hit left Ebert bloodied and forced him from the field.

  1. He shouldn’t but he will because of the result of the action. Split head and 15mins on the bench = 1 week. I’m a Port supporter and think it is rubbish but they base everything on impact these days.

    • Trouble is, the MRP is so fucked and full of itself you never know what they’re gonna do. I’m a Power supporter and i don’t think he should be penalized either!

  2. Who would know! Usually the TV commentators make a big noise if they think a suspension is forthcoming. Similar to Jordan lunching Lycett on Friday night commentators said nothing to worry about!! Both will get reviewed and then the inconsistent and confusing MRP will hand out some bizarre finding.

  3. He MUST get one week 😂 or a fine, or nothing, oh heck who even knows how the MRP see things! We’d only be guessing!! He definitely had time to avoid contact though. Yeo got a week for less.

  4. Can’t believe it’s even a discussion. Of course he gets suspended! 2 games I’d be thinking. It’s never been okay to lead with your fist and smash it into someone’s face. Yeah it looked like a spoiling attempt but gee the fist was a long way from the ball and it was very late. Now Steven Rowe will make a case for sloane to be exonerated. Kane will abstain from any comment as sloane is a mate and a business partner. The afl will consider him a Brownlow chance and won’t want a suspension to overshadow their big night so he probably gets off!
