Richmond appears set to land Gold Coast midfield gun, Dion Prestia, according to reports.

Fairfax understands that after several months of speculation linking Prestia to Richmond, he has "now unofficially committed to joining the club".

"Gold Coast have not been informed of Prestia's plans beyond this year, but also suspect he is Punt Round-bound," the reports claims.

The Tigers will likely have to give up their first round draft pick in this year's draft to secure Prestia, who is currently the vice-captain at the Suns.

He has played 95 games in his career, after being selected with pick No.9 in the 2010 National Draft.

He managed just 14 games this season before a knee injury ended his 2016 campaign.

Carlton, Melbourne and Hawthorn are also believed to have been interested in the former top 10 draft pick.

  1. Poor Buggar !!!!!! Did he walk under a Ladder !!!!! He must not put Finals & Premierships as a priority !!!!!!

  2. Chris Judd must have had 12 black cats walk past him if thats the case , and Adam Treloar needs 10 Rabbit feet just to make the finals.
