Sydney has reportedly entered the race for Carlton defender Zach Tuohy.

Reports emerged earlier this month that the Kangaroos had expressed interest in the Irishman, while AFL.com.au has reported that the Swans are among at least two other clubs who are interested Tuohy.

Sydney is keen to add pace to its half back line, with Tuohy's ability to break lines particularly appealing.

The 26-year-old, who is out of contract, has been offered a new deal by the Blues, believed to be a two-year offer, however, he is yet to re-sign, with the Roos reportedly offering a more lucrative deal.

Tuohy played every game in 2016, averaging 20 disposals, 3.6 marks and 2.2 tackles per game.
