Dane Swan officially announced his retirement on Tuesday in front of a packed auditorium at the Holden Centre.

When asked what the next chapter holds, Swan gave a glimpse into what 2017 may look like for the retiring champion...and it sounds as though he will let his hair down in classic Swanny style.

“I’m going to try get a bit of travel in. Take a gap year I think. Do a bit of that,” Swan said.

“Go to Europe for six weeks or so. Maybe go to Coachella and things like that.

“Do a bit of media I guess… I don’t know if my manager is in here? But its about time to put in the work and see if he can get me a job.

“Obviously I’m retired now, I don’t have a job I can walk into tomorrow. I just want to take a deep breath relax and have a couple of retirement parties.”

It's fair to say we would all love an invitation to some of the aforementioned retirement parties!
